What is a Web Commentary
A commentary is a collection of comments on a base document (web page).
These comments may be added by any person (who chooses to identify themselves by first name and last name only). Comments are normally added by any visitor while reading a page or previous comment on a page. Unregistered persons can only read the comments.
From time-to-time the author of the original page may choose to include the comments in a revised page. Thus the value of the content is increased by including the wisdom of the community of active and interested readers.

Value Proposition
A commentary builds a community of interest around each topic on your site.
Your customers repeatedly return to your site to follow the input from other members of the community.

Functionality
Returning customers (who logon) can immediately see where new comments have been posted.
Complex patterns of threads and branches are tracked independently of the time-based sequence of the postings. They are presented in the optimal reading sequence.
New posts can be emailed to parent comment, thread and page authors without publishing their email addresses (unless they choose to show their email address).
Threads of little interest are automatically classified as Archived for each specific reader.
Certain comments are tagged as needing moderation. A moderator can change these comments or remove them. The separate moderation function allows moderators to readily find comments tagged for their attention and to modify, delete or post them unchanged.
